BOYS BASKETBALL: Caledonia used a tough defense to beat Houston 82-46 in boys basketball on January 8.
The Warriors also won against Dover-Eyota 70-60 on January 12.
Against Houston, Caledonia racked up 47 first half points, then out-scored the Hurricanes 35-17 in the final 18 minutes.
GIRLS BASKETBALL: The first half of Caledoniaís defeat over the Eagles on Friday, January 12 at Dover-Eyota was an even contest. It wasnít until just before the half that the Warriors took control to obtain their 61-40 victory. Their record is now 13-1.
GYMNASTICS: The Caledonia/Spring Grove gymnasts outscored opponent Wabasha-Kellogg 123.03 to 93.275 on the road January 11. In all four events, C/SG gymnasts took first, second and third place.
On Saturday, the varsity and JV traveled to Holmen for an invitational meet. C/SG took sixth of eight schools on varsity with a score of 127.925, and fifth of seven schools for the junior varsity division with a 55.6.
WRESTLING: Caledonia Houston/Spring Grove eked out a first place win in the Stewartville Invitational Tournament on January 13.
The Warriors had 163 points, two more than second place Stewartville.
Other team scores were Dover-Eyota 151, Zumbrota-Mazeppa 138.5; GMLOK 123; Rochester Mayo 90, Hayfield 66, Fairmont 65, and Triton 53.
Caledonia also had a 43-19 dual meet win against Rochester Century at home on January 9.
