Filing in for township elections
Filing for township offices was completed on January 16 for township elections, which will be held on Tuesday, March 13.
Here is a list of the 17 Houston County Township filings. Supervisor terms are for three years, treasurer for two years.
ï Black Hammer Township. The following offices are up for election: supervisor and treasurer. No one filed for either position. Donald Norgard is the incumbent supervisor. Maynard Brevig is the incumbent treasurer; he is retiring this year after 50 years.
ï Brownsville Township. The following offices are up for election: supervisor, for which Joseph Driscoll and incumbent Delmer Ideker have filed; and treasurer, for which incumbent Darryl Graf has filed.
ï Caledonia Township. The following offices are up for election: supervisor, for which incumbent Norman Oseth has filed; treasurer, for which Doris Klankowski has filed.
ï Crooked Creek Township. The following offices are up for election: supervisor, for which incumbent John Kohlmeier has filed; treasurer, for which incumbent David Seymour has filed.
ï Hokah Township. The following offices are up for election: supervisor, for which incumbent Terry Rosendahl has filed; treasurer, for which Jaymie Sheffer has filed.
ï Houston Township. For supervisor, Eric Johnson is the incumbent has filed; for treasurer, Ray Connery is the incumbent. Information on filings were not available to The Argus.
ï Jefferson Township. The following offices are up for election: supervisor, three year term, and treasurer, two year term. No one has filed for either office. Garland Moe is the incumbent supervisor, and Richard Wagner is the incumbent treasurer.
ï La Crescent Township. The supervisor incumbent is Larry Hafner. For treasurer, the incumbent is Larry Jankowski. Information on filings were not available to The Argus.
ï Mayville Township. The following offices are up for election: supervisor, for which incumbent Ed Giblin has filed; treasurer, for which incumbent Arlyn Pohlman has filed.
ï Money Creek Township. One supervisor, is up for election; incumbent Dale Omodt has filed. For treasurer, incumbent Richard Nelson has filed.
ï Mound Prairie Township. The following offices are up for election: supervisor, for which incumbent Terry Botcher Jr. has filed; treasurer, for which incumbent Edwin Schumacher has filed.
ï Sheldon Township. The following offices are up for election: supervisor, three year term, for which incumbent Dean Happel filed; and treasurer, two year term, for which incumbent Colleen Nelson filed.
ï Spring Grove Township. One supervisor is up for election, for which incumbent Richard Gulbranson has filed. The clerk/treasurer is a combined position so no election will be held this year.
ï Union Township. The following offices are up for election: supervisor, and treasurer. Barton Bulman is the incumbent supervisor; Eugene Wilhelm is the incumbent treasurer. Information on filings were not available to The Argus.
ï Wilmington Township. Incumbent Greg Myhre filed for supervisor. The clerk/treasurer is a combined position so no election will be held this year.
ï Winnebago Township. No one filed for supervisor. The incumbent is Gordon Meyer. Incumbent Janice Staggemeyer filed for treasurer.
ï Yucatan Township. The following offices are up for election: supervisor, for which incumbent Elvin Paulson has filed; and treasurer, for which incumbent Tim Amberg has filed.
