Julia "Joan" Twite

Julia "Joan" Twite, 69, of Caledonia, died Monday, January 22, 2007 at Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse.

JuliaÝwas born July 8, 1937 in Spring Grove, Minn., to James and Julia (Danielson) Skadson. On June 17, 1953,Ýshe married Newman Twite at the Immanuel Lutheran Church parsonage in Caledonia and he preceded her in death on February 7, 1998. Joan was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne (Darrell) Schroeder of Caledonia; four sons, Daniel (Jeanette) Twite of Caledonia, David Twite of Farmington, Minn., Terry (Elisa) Twite of Eagen, Minn., and Thomas (Robin) Twite of Caledonia; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gena (William) Bubbers and Shirley "Tootsie" (Robert) Giblin, both of Caledonia; a sister-in-law, Lorraine "Shirley" Skadson of Caledonia; many nieces and nephews; and a friend, Roger Ernst.

In addition to her husband, Julia was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Merle (MaryAnn) Skadson and David Skadson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 26, 2007, atÝat Immanuel Lutheran Church, Caledonia. Rev. Steven E. Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of serviceÝFriday at the church.
