Marie Mahle
Marie E. Mahle, 87, of Eitzen,İdied Thursday, January 25, 2007, at Caledonia Care and Rehab.
She was born May 5, 1919, in Caledonia to Leo and Manda (Trehus) Deters. Marie married Darrel Johnson and he was killedİin the line of duty during WWII. She then married Gordon Mahle and he also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Beth Heckman Nelson of Omaha, and Anita (Darrell) Neumann of Caledonia; three grandchildren; two sisters, Naomi (Ray) Warner of Mira Loma, CA and Florence Knutson of Seattle, WA; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 29, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lukeís United Church of Christ, Eitzen. Rev. Debra A. Meyer and Rev. Kent A. Meyer will officiate.
A private family burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at the churchİon Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and also on Mondayİfrom 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. İ
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Lukeís United Church of Christ, Houston County Historical Society, Gundersen Lutheran Foundation, or Eastern Nebraska Office On Aging Foster Grandparent Program.İ
