BOYS BASKETBALL: Caledonia took third place in the La Crosse Central Holiday Basketball Tournament on December 27-28.
The Warriors lost their opener 75-57 to the eventual champion, De Forest, Wisconsin, on Wednesday. CHS bounced back with a 68-67 win over West Salem the next day.
Caledonia also beat Goodhue 66-42 at home on December 22.
GIRLS BASKETBALL: The Warrior girls fought through some heavy weather on the basketball court this past week to add three more games to their win column. Their record is now at 10 and 1.
Coach Sorenson verified that even though they won, it was a tough week for the team. "We saw the highs and lows of the game," he said. "After beating the 6th ranked Goodhue Wildcats by 17, we played a tight game against Northfield and won. Then we had an ugly win against Winona High school in the championship game of the Warrior Club tournament in Winona. Scores were Caledonia 69, Goodhue 52; Caledonia 47, Northfield 45; and Caledonia 47, Winona 34.
