BOYS BASKETBALL: Caledonia surged from a 2-point halftime deficit to defeat Rushford-Peterson 54-47 in boys basketball on January 6 in Rushford.
The Warriors also defeated Wabasha-Kellogg 71-55 on January 4 in Wabasha.
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Caledoniaís girlsí basketball team improved their seasonís record to 12-1 after winning two more games against La Crescent 64-49 and Wabasha-Kellogg 43-30 this past week. The Warriors are ranked eighth in Minnesota Class AA, their only loss coming to fifth-ranked Kingsland.
GYMNASTICS: The Caledonia/Spring Grove gymnastics team came back from winter break ready for competition. The teamís score of 130.525 was one of its best ever and led to its over Stewartville on January 4.
"It was our highest team score since I have been helping the team," noted coach Paul Stevens. "Also, it was the first time that we have had someone from our team win every event. It was a close meet through every event."
Stewartville scored 128.675.
WRESTLING: Bonus points were the difference in Dover-Eyotaís 28-26 wrestling win over Caledonia/Houston/Spring Grove on January 6.
C/H/SG won the first two meets of the quadrangular event in La Crescent that day, first beating the Lancers 47-16, then topping Wabasha-Kellogg 35-26.
