John Nelson
John Joseph Nelson, 40, of Dorchester died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at his home.
He was born November 18, 1966 in Waukon, Iowa to Merlin and Sheilah (Kumpf) Nelson. He graduated from Waukon High School and Northeast Technical College in Calmar, Iowa where he studied to be an electrician. He worked at Northern Engraving in Spring Grove.
He is survived by his parents of Dorchester, his daughter, Jenna Nelson of La Crosse, his soon to be born grandson, Hayden, his siblings, Judy, Jim, Joyce, Jane and Jennifer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle Neil Kumpf.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 11, at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Dorchester. Father Joseph Schneider will officiate and burial will be in St. Maryís Cemetery, Dorchester. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church Monday.
McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia is assisting the family with arrangements.
