Donald Weber
Donald Weber, 71, of New Albin, Iowa, died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Donald was born in Lansing, Iowa, on November 8, 1935, to Herman and Pearl (Hurley) Weber. ÝIn 1953 he graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Lansing. From 1956 to 1958 he served in the Army,Ýwhich included being stationed in Korea. Don married Carol Darling on July 26, 1958 at St. Joseph Church, New Albin. In 1971 Don started Weber Construction/Supply.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol; seven children, Debbie (Terry) Utke of Waukon, Iowa; Mary (Anton) Kidess of Eau Claire, Wis.; Teri Moore (friend Jason Wenthold) of Lansing; Connie (Mike) Mauss of La Crescent, Minn.; Neal (Mary) Weber of New Albin; Todd Weber of New Albin; Jennifer (Damon) Olson of New Albin; 24 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; three siblings, Herman (Sharon) Weber of Salem, Wis., Charles (Barbara) Rettinger of Masonville, Iowa, and Charlene Siss (Bill) Stallman of Fairfax, Iowa.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Creed Moore; three brothers Harold, Joseph and Robert Weber; two sisters Mary Alice Van Brocklin and Margaret Spurgeon; and his wifeís parents.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic in New Albin with Fr. Daniel Knipper officiating. Burial with military rites will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in New Albin. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the New Albin Community Center where there will be a Parish Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m.
