Gladys Elsheimer

Gladys Elsheimer, 83, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at her oldest daughterís home in Coffeyville, Kan.

She was born October 30, 1923 in Houston County, Minn., to William and Gertrude (Arndt) Neumann.

As a child she attended school in Houston County, Minn. She later received her High School diploma from the Adult Education Center in Coffeyville.

On May 21, 1943 she married Carl Elsheimer in Houston County, Minn. He preceded her in death May 28, 2004.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Coffeyville, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Survivors include four daughters: Joan (Dale) Darby, Gail (Wayne) Norton, Karen (Joe) Pyle and Janet (Tim) Cooke; and a son, David (Ronda) Elsheimer, all of the Coffeyville area; nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter; and a sister, Edna (Walter) Elsheimer of Houston County.

She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Darlene Elsheimer; one brother, Donald Neumann; and one sister, Bernice Schultz.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at the Robbins Cemetery in rural Coffeyville, Kan.
