Laurene M. Richmond
Laurene M. Richmond, 78, of Houston, died May 1, 2007.
She was born on February 4, 1929, in La Crosse, Wis. to Melvin and Amanda (Papenfuss) Feller. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Nodine, Minn. On July 26, 1947, she married Donald Richmond at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Nodine. She raised seven children and retired from Lucas Industries in Rushford, Minn. after 25 years.
Laurene is survived by one daughter: Mary Jo Zwarycz of Houston, Minn.; four sons: Randy (Lorene) Richmond of Houston, Minn., Jim (Janet Senn) Richmond of Caledonia, Minn., Barry (June) Richmond of Indiana, and Mark (Barb) Richmond of Houston, Minn.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandsons; one brother, Pat (Marjorie) Feller of Winona, Minn., and two sisters: LaVonne Cairns of Nodine, Minn., and Lois Feller of Caledonia, Minn.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jane; one son, Tim; her parents; three brothers: Bud, Mike, and Roger Feller; one sister: Fern Nissalke, and her husband Donald Richmond.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston with the Rev. Louise Stromberg officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, at Hoff Funeral Homes ñ Houston Chapel. Burial of her cremains will be at the Stone Church Cemetery in Houston.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Houston Nature Center.
