Margaret A. Mormann
Margaret A. Mormann, the daughter of Nicholas and Magdelena (Traeger) Privett, died at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse on Saturday, May 5, 2007.
She married Gerald Mormann shortly after he returned home from serving in the Army. The Mormann family owned and operated a farm west of LaCrescent since 1958. Margaret lived the last years of her life on the farm now owned by her children and families.
Survivors include her children, David (Monica) Mormann of Tampa, Fla., William (Maxine) Mormann of LaCrescent, Minn., Tim (Peggy) Mormann of Dresbach, Minn., Pam (Bruce) Harlos of LaCrescent, Linda (Randy) Holthaus of Bangor, Wis, Sandra (Phillip) Bautch of River Falls, Wis, Jeff (Mary) Mormann of La Crosse, Deborah (Bradly) Rodda of Spearville, Kan., Gretchen (Dan) McLees of Rockland, Wis., Mary, Nicholas, Colleen, and Mark Mormann all of La Cresecent, Minn., Matt Mormann of La Crosse, Peggy Stankey of West Salem, and Rebecca Mormann of Milwaukee; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Jean (Leo) Privett of La Crosse and Jean (Sherwood) Peterson of Houston, Minn.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband in 1991, one son, Michael; two grandsons, Duane Mormann and Brady McLees and her two siblings Lillian (Hubert) Yancey and Leo Privett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, at Church of the Crucifixion, 407 S. 2nd St., La Crescent. Monsignor Donald W. Grubisch will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrickís Catholic Cemetery, Ridgeway, Minn. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday at Woodruff-Jandt Funeral Home, 4239 Mormon Coulee Rd., La Crosse, with a rosary to be recited at the conclusion of the visitation. Friends may also call from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass Tuesday at the church.
