Warriors pick up two TRC
wins, lose one in boys golf

The Caledonia boys golf team picked up two wins, but suffered its first Three Rivers Conference loss of the season during a busy spring schedule. The Warriors topped Chatfield April 27 153-172, beat Fillmore Central May 1 164-184, and then lost to a tough Rushford-Peterson team 169-176 Friday, May 4.

The Warriors traveled to Chosen Valley Golf Course April 27 and returned home with their low score of the year, as their top four golfers had a combined score of 153.
Mitchell Massman and Kyle Runningen tied for medalist honors with 37ís. Alex Eglinton was right behind with a 38, and Garrett Cross carded a 41 to round out the top four scores for CHS. Craig Loeffler added a 42 and Erik Fisch had a 44 for the other two CHS varsity scores.
The CHS junior varsity shot a 192 to defeat the Gopher JV,, which only had two players. Luke Daley had the low score for the JV with a 46. Lucas Harguth and Greg Schleich both had 47ís, A.J. Bird had a 52, Doug Welscher had a 55, and Jake Johnson had a 63.

The CHS boys topped Fillmore Central by 20 strokes on their own course May 1, as the Warriors had a four-man total of 164.
Eglinton shot a 39 for medalist honors, Loeffler had a 40, Runningen had a 41, and Cross had a 44 for the top four scores. Massman had a 45 and Fisch had a 49 to round out the varsity scores.
The Warrior JV got tripped up by the Falcons, as they were defeated 189-214. Daley had the low round for the Warriors with a 42. Schleich had a 50, Joey Ehlers had a 56, Welscher had a 66, Lance Ranzenberger had a 70, and Devin Ingvalson had an 86.
R-P 169 CHS 176
The Rushford-Peterson Trojans proved to be poor hosts last Friday, as they handed the visiting Warriors a 169-176 loss. Eglinton had the low round for the Warriors with a 41. Fisch was next with a 43, and Loeffler and Runningen followed with 46ís. Massmann had a 47 and Cross had a 48 for the other two varsity scores.
The R-P junior varsity was also victorious, topping the Warriors by two points, 206-208.
Daley had the low score for the CHS JV with a 47. Harguth had a 51, Schleich had a 54, Bird had a 56, Ranzenberger had a 58, and Brandon Cordes had a 67.
This week
The Warriors have another busy week, as they have three matches in five days. Monday, May 7 they competed in the Lake City Invite, Tuesday, May 8 they hosted Southland, and Friday they travel to Spring Valley to take on Kingsland.
