Achsa Mae Gran
Achsa Mae Gran, 97, of Caledonia, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007 at Caledonia Care and Rehab where she had been a resident since October of 2004.
She was born August 26, 1910 in St. Paul, Minn., to Julius and Josephine (Stevens) Gran. Achsa Maeİwas aİ1927 graduate of Caledonia High School.İShe then attended the Beauty School of Culture in St. Paul and graduatedİin 1929. Achsa Mae owned and operated Achsaís Beauty Shop in downtown Caledonia for over 60 years retiring in October of 1994.
She was preceded in death by her brother in 1916.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Caledonia United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Bengtson will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home, Caledonia, is in charge of arrangements.
