Carol Heintz Sampson
Carol Heintz Sampson (nee Cissne) of Leland, Illinois died October 15, 2007 at Willow Crest Nursing Home in Sandwich, Illinois. She was born in Marietta, Ohio, on November 24, 1926 the daughter of Otto Robert and Ruby (Smith) Cissne.
Carol is survived by her husband, Gerald E. Sampson, of Leland, Illinois; her two sons, Kurt E. Heintz of Chicago, and Glen E. Heintz of Leland; a brother, Robert P. Cissne and his wife Phyllis, of Hendersonville, North Carolina; sisters-in-law Tesi Cissne of San Francisco and Leota Lampert (nee Heintz) of Caledonia, Minnesota; brother-in-law Norman Heintz and his wife Irene, of Bloomington, Minnesota; and sister-in-law Charlotte Singh (nee Heintz) and her husband Davindar Singh of New Delhi, India.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother in 1991; an older brother, John M. Cissne of San Diego, California in 2002; and her first husband, Harold A. Heintz in 1987.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, October 19, at Leland United Methodist Church 280 Locust Street, Leland, IL 60531, with Rev. Linda Deming officiating. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 19, at church until the time of services at 6:00 p.m.
