Warrior girls lose in Section 1A soccer finals, Warrior football team seeded number one in Section 1AA play-offs
The Caledonia girls soccer team was defeated 6-1 by La Crescent in the Section 1A soccer play-offs played at Winona State University Thursday. The loss ended a very successful season for the Warriors, while the Lancer girls will advance to the state tournament for the third straight year.
The Caledonia football team, which finished the regular season with a 7-1 record, was seeded number one in the Section 1AA football play-offs. The Warriors will host number-eight seed Kingsland (0-8) Tuesday,Oct. 23 for a 7 p.m. kick-off. The winner of the first round game will play the winner of St. Charles (#4 seed) and Pine Island (#5 seed) on Saturday, Oct. 27 on the higher seed's field.
