Benefit for Money Creek Haven Sunday, Oct. 28
A benefit for Money Creek Haven Campgrounds of rural Houston will be held this Sunday, Oct. 28 beginning at 4 p.m. at the American Legion in La Crescent.
Money Creek Haven sustained major damage to the campgrounds and buildings during the August flash floods. Many of those who have enjoyed the campground and friends of Wayne and Carla Fitting, owners of the campground, located in Money Creek Township in northwest Houston County, have organized the benefit.
There will be a live auction, featuring various items donated by area supporters, a cash raffle, food will be available, and music will be provided by John Bernadot.
