The CHS girls soccer team shut out St. Charles and Winona Cotter last week to improve their season record to 4-0.
Down St. Charles
The Warriors defeated St. Charles 6-0 in a game that saw 55 shots on goal by Caledonia. Sarah Colleran had five of those goals and Ally Sheehan got the other mark.
"I would have liked to see more of our players make their shots," coach Sue Link said. "We were shooting, but not producing goals. We passed well."
On defense, she liked the added help of Kendra Rohrer and Maria Drenckhahn.
Arie Albert continued her excellent goal play and Link chose to play Bridget McComber in the second half. "Bridget came in for us and had some very nice saves."
Link called the St. Charles club "an improved team."
Beat Cotter 3-0
Sarah Colleran again led her team in scoring with two goals in a 3-0 shut out win over Winona Cotter. Sara Kasten scored the other goal.
Once again, Arie Albert was in goal for the Warriors who have won all four games while only given up one goal.
"Sarah is in peak form," coach Sue Link said of Colleran. Link liked her teamís defensive play.
The Warriors continued their shooting barrage firing 28 shots on the Cotter goal.
"This win was a group effort," she said. "I was pleased with everyone."
This Tuesday, the team plays La Crescent.
