Shirley Runningen
Shirley M. Runningen, 83, died at the Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007.
Shirley was born Feb. 2, 1924 in Brownsville, Minn. to Louis and Mae (Wilhelm) Heintz. She was married to Wallace Runningen on Dec. 12, 1946. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Wallace; two daughters: Lynda (Ken) Evans, Altus, Ark., and Susan Melton of Springfield, Mo.; a son, Dean Runningen of Tinley Park, Ill.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters: Lillian Lehmann, Houston, Minn.; Lois (Lester) Lemke, Houston; and Ruth Heintz, Caledonia; and one brother, Eugene (Virginia) Heintz, Brownsville.
Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn and Leland and a sister, Eunice Botcher.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 1425 Jackson Street, La Crosse. Burial will be in the Prospect Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Saturday from noon until the service.
