Homecoming 2007

Nothing ushers in the fall season like cooler days and high school homecomings. Caledonia Area Schools will be celebrating Homecoming 2007 next week with a myriad of activities.

The senior class nominated the 10 king and queen candidates last week. The royal court was announced last Friday afternoon. They include queen candidates:

ïSavanah Daley, daughter of Marsha Kotten and Dan Daley,

ïSara Kasten, daughter of Terry and Lorna Kasten,

ïLaura Roesler, daughter of Todd and Suzanne Roesler,

ïAlecia Fruechte, daughter of Carl and Becky Fruechte, and

ïKelsey Connor, daughter of Scott and Kim Connor.

King candidates are:

ïTyler Stemper, son of Julie Stemper and Ken Stemper,

ïJoey Macejik, son of Joseph and Judy Macejik,

ïBlake Knutson, son of Mark and Joyce Knutson,

ïKody Moore, son of Don and Marilyn Moore, and

ïLee Burg, son of James and Cindy Burg.

Next weekís events include dress-up days each week.

Monday is hunting/prey day, Tuesday is prep school day, Wednesday is pirate day, Thursday is crazy color day, and Friday is spirit day.

The king and queen coronation will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the high school auditorium.

A pep fest will be held at 1:45 p.m. Friday with the high school band leading the student body into the auditorium. Various competitions will be held between the grades during the pep fest.

The Homecoming dance will be held in the gymnasium following Friday nightís football game.

Athletic events scheduled during Homecoming Week include:

ïVolleyball- Oct. 2 at Chatfield and Oct. 4 hosting Lewiston-Altura;

ïGirls soccer- Oct. 2 at La Crescent, and Oct. 4 hosting Dover-Eyota;

ïBoys soccer- Oct. 2 hosting Plainview-Elgin-Millville, and Oct. 4 at La Crescent;

ïFootball- Oct. 5 hosting Chatfield. The Caledonia High School Band will be presenting a halftime show.
