"We just canít seem to get the cover off the lid," was the way Warrior boys soccer head coach Tom Krinke explained the young season, after his team played Onalaska to a 0-0 tie Saturday in Caledonia.
"Our defense has been playing so well. We get the ball down inside the 20 yard line and we just arenít doing anything with it," Krinke added. "Weíre not playing poorly, but we just canít score."
Following the second 0-0 tie of the year, the CHS boys are 0-1-2. Warrior goalkeeper Isaac Schiltz has only given up one goal in three games, and that was in a 1-0 loss to La Crosse Central in the season opener. The Warriors travel to Winona Public Sept. 4 and to Byron Sept. 6.
