Caledonia Area Elementary observes MLK Day

Students and staff at Caledonia Area Elementary School gathered in the gymnasium for a program observing the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The program included a number of songs sung by the students, several short skits by the fifth graders dealing with racial inequalities of our nation’s past, including the Rosa Parks and Greenboro, Ala. lunch counter incidents, and a powerpoint presentation on the life of Dr. King. Third graders Marissa Shannon, at left, and Morgan Tischhauser were part of a mass choir that sang several songs during the program. Photo by Zach Thomas
