Warriors score 39 straight points to beat Chatfield 49-27

Caledonia/Houston/Spring Grove won the last seven matches to beat Chatfield 49-27 last Friday in a home meet.
The 39 point run was started by Jacob Swindell at 152 with a fall. Ryan Mauss also got a fall while Shane Loken won by a 9-4 decision. At 182, Casey Stemper started a run of four falls that was followed by Connor McCormick, Troy Frank, and Austin Goergen.
Also getting wins for the Warriors were Dylan Stemper with a major decision and Troy King with a fall. “Jacob’s fall got us rolling,” Goergen said.

The Warriors do not wrestle again until a meet at GMLO on Friday. There is a junior varsity meet at Chatfield on Saturday.
Letter winner Austin Fitzgerald rejoined the team a week ago and he is expected to vie for a spot at either 132 or 138 this season.
