The FairTax is not a tough choice

To the Editor:

We all have to make tough choices in life. Choosing between the current income tax and the FairTax is not that tough.

How would you like to get your entire paycheck, for an immediate 10 percent raise, maybe more?

How would you like to never have to file another income tax form for the rest of your life?

How would you like to see a number for the cost of running the federal government printed on every cash register receipt?

How would you like to see trillions of dollars returned to the U.S. from Switzerland, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, etc. to jump start the economy and restore “Made in America”?

How would you like to see all the new jobs that would come from expanding the GDP by 10 percent the first year?

How would you like to take control from DC and eliminate tax favors for the special few who can afford to play the lobby game?

How would you like a check every month to reimburse you for taxes paid on food, housing and medical costs?  $564 for a family of four.

The FairTax is not a tough choice; in fact it’s a “no brainer”.

One Response to The FairTax is not a tough choice

  1. MathMatters says:

Sorry to disagree, because we need a new tax code from ground up.

But Fairtax is a goofy fraud, political theater, and utter nonsense. Sounds great though!

Read the fine print! Most Fairtax supporters (there are very few) believe the hustle about 23% personal retail sales tax to replace all other fed taxes, including Social Security.

Well, that might be the HUSTLE, but that’s nothing like the actual legislation, fine print, and tax tables.

Only a small part of fairtax — about 1/5 – is about retail sales taxes. But 4/5 of Fairtax is about other taxes, many of them impossible, goofy, and unconstitutional.

So they sell this nonsense as something, when the greatest part of Fairtax is something else entirely — and those are IMPOSSIBLE and goofy taxes.

In fact, I offer 50,000 dollars, really, to anyone who can show Fairtax is a 23% retail sales tax to replace all other fed taxes, as mentioned. Fairtax leaders know their plan is goofy preposterous hustle, they aren’t even trying to pass this. It’s theater, it’s what they tell stupid people, frankly, so they don’t have to deal with really HARD issues of taxation.

The “public support” for Fairtax is a fraud too, with apparently one or two guys paid by the hustlers to make it SEEM like there is a grass roots effort behind it. Nonsense. While there are SOME sincere people fooled by this, they don’t stay fooled long. Mostly it’s political theater.

See more about the offer — and proof that Fairtax is not a 23% retail sales tax to replace all other fed taxes — here.
