She was born Mar. 30, 1917 in Caledonia, Minn. to August and Louise (Horn) Kuecker. She was baptized and confirmed by Rev. Jeske at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran, on Union Ridge. Rev. Jeske also united Flossie and Oscar Dotseth in marriage on Feb. 15, 1941. Flossie and Oscar farmed in rural Caledonia until retiring and moving to Spring Grove. Oscar preceded Flossie in death on Dec. 16, 1996. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its women’s groups. Flossie also enjoyed traveling, reading, fishing, bible study and Homemaker’s group.
Survivors include her son Dennis (Monica) of rural Caledonia; grandchildren Jennifer (Josh) Bauer, Cookeville,Tenn.; Eric, Charleston, W.V. and Daniel, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Taylor Bauer; her brother Floyd (Carol), La Crosse, Wis. and her sisters Delilah Minoque, Chicago, Ill. and Floreen Sanden, Houston, Minn.; sisters-in-law Jackie Kuecker, La Crosse and Marceil Kuecker, Caledonia.
In addition to her parents, and her husband Oscar, she was preceded in death by her brothers Mervin and Duane, and her brothers–in-law Bill Minoque and Gladen Sanden.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pastor Zane Anderson will officiate. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove, and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
