Land rights expert, attorney Karen Budd-Falen will be the featured speaker at a public meeting scheduled for Friday, March 16 at the Four Seasons Community Center in Caledonia.
The 7 p.m. event is open to the public and will center on land rights issues.
Budd-Falen has been the lead attorney for several land rights law suits leveled against Houston County during the past few years. She served for three years in the Reagan Administration as a special assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management. She later served as a law clerk to the Assistant Solicitor for Water and Power. She has also worked as an attorney at Mountain State Legal Foundation, a conservative public interest legal foundation in Denver, Colo.
She and her husband Frank Falen are co-owners of the Budd-Falen Law Offices, LLC located in Cheyenne, Wyo.
