Warrior boys place third at RP meet

Racking up 68 team points in their first meet of the season last week, the Caledonia/Spring Grove boys track team placed third with 67 points at Rushford.

Rushford-Peterson/Houston placed first with 74 points, Lanesboro/Fillmore Central/Mabel-Canton placed second with 70 points and La Crescent placed fourth with 53 points.

Ryan Pitts placed second in the 100 meters.

Scoring team points for the Warriors included:

• 100 meters- Adam Drenckhahn- first place (11.35) and Ryan Pitts- second place (11.58).

• 200 meters- Connor McCormick- fifth place (25.78).

• 400 meters- Aric Elmore- first place (54.90) and Sean Kearney- third place (59.90).

• 3200 meters- Jan Baliak- third place (12:22.12).

• 4×100 relay- Warriors A- first place (45.98) and Warriors B- third place (49.65).

• 4×200 relay- Warriors A- first place (1:36.59).

• 4×400 relay- Warriors- third place (4:09.87).

• High Jump- West Spier- first place (5-9).

• Long jump- Spier- second place (18-06) Tanner Steele- fourth place (16-11) and Alex Goetzinger- fifth place (16-8).

• Triple jump- Spier- second place (37-10.75).

• Shot put- Bryan Barthel- second place (35-04.50) and Cornelius Dunningen- fourth place (34-7).

• Discus- Dunningen- first place (114-01.50) and Mason Ashbacher- fourth place (96-09).
