Warrior boys bow out in Section 1AA golf

The season came to an end for the Caledonia/Spring Grove boys golf team at the Section 1AA meet held May 31 at The Jewel Golf Course in Lake City.
The Warriors were eliminated as a team in the sub-section tournament held at The Bridges Golf Course in Winona on May 25 when they placed fourth out of eight teams with a 347-stroke total. PEM won the sub-section with a 337, while Winona Cotter also advanced to the section meet by placing second with a 341.
Four Warriors advanced to the Section 1AA Tournament as individuals. They were led by Devin Schiltz with an 84, Joey Ehlers and Sean Conner with 87s, and Hunter Rud with an 89. Schiltz’s score placed him seventh over-all in the sub-section. David Guth missed the cut by one stroke, as he placed 11th with a 91. Derek Johnson carded a 96.
At the section meet Ehlers placed 31st with a 93, Schiltz had a 95, Rud had a 98 and Conner had a 99.
