The chicken was going fast Thursday night, and Carrie O’Heron, Dan O’Heron and Janet Frank made sure everybody got their fill at the dedication ceremonies for the Veterans Memorial Field.

Nick Frank escorts Baseball Hall of Famer Dolly (Vanderlip) Ozburn during the celebration. Ozburn was a member of All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) from 1952-54. Ozburn was a pitcher for both the Fort Wayne Daisies and South Bend Blue Sox.

Caledonia Mayor Bob Burns accepts a plaque from Sharon Euerle Thursday night. Euerle is a member of the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, which provides financial support to improve baseball and/or softball facilities for youth in the Upper Midwest and Southwest Florida.
