Young burn victim will spend weeks in the hospital
Chloe Langen, 4 of Houston, one of four children injured in a June 29 campfire explosion, will spend the next two months in a St. Paul hospital receiving treatment for burns that cover 50 percent of her body.
According to Langen’s Caring Bridge website, she will be receiving skin grafts over the next couple of weeks for burns that extend between her neck and knees.
A breakfast fundraiser over the weekend raised an estimated $8,000 for Langen as well as five-year-old Annabelle Heyer, another victim.
According to the Houston County Sheriff’s Department, the children were burned after an adult member of the camping group poured an accelerant on the campfire, which sparked an explosion.
