It’s time to head to the circus. The Caledonia Area Chamber of Commerce is bringing the Culpepper & Merryweather Circus to town Aug. 6 at 5 and 7:30 p.m. at the Houston County Fairgrounds.
A performance by Skeeter the Clown will preceed the circus on Friday, July 27. He will make an appearance from 8 to 10 a.m. at Gazebo Park and from 10 a.m. to noon at Caledonia Care and Rehab.
The entire town is getting in circus mood, and many businesses are participating in a coloring contest that Skeeter the Clown will judge.
Families can pick up entry forms at Merchants Bank, Eitzen State Bank, Quillins or the chamber of commerce office and submit their winning entry back at those businesses by July 25. The winner will be announced July 27.
The Caledonia library will also be running a promotion for kids to read circus related books, and the winner will receive free tickets to the circus.
Advanced ticket prices are $9 for adults and $6 for children.
Tickets are being sold at: Merchants Bank, Eitzen State Bank, Quillin’s and the Caledonia Area Chamber of Commerce office located next to the library.
If you have any questions, please contact Lori at the chamber office at 507-725-5477.
