The Caledonia boy’s soccer team picked up their first win of the season in convincing fashion with a 4-0 shutout of Holmen Saturday at Caledonia High School.

The Warriors got two goals each from Josh Nord and Alex Marschall and held the Vikings scoreless for 80 minutes to get in the win column. Despite being out-shot 11-5 in the first half, the Warriors led 1-0 after 40 minutes. Nord scored first at the 13 minute mark, and Marschall followed with a goal seven minutes into the second half. Nord’s and Marschall would both score again 12 minutes apart to seal the win, while the defense gave up just four shots on goal in the second half.

After playing at Winona Cotter Monday Caledonia will travel to LaCrescent Thursday.
