Brandon L. Werner 31, of Caledonia, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012. He was born in Caledonia, Minn., on Nov. 29, 1980, to Dale and Lola Werner. He was considered the strong, silent, gentle giant amongst his family and friends. He was a true family man of few words.
He was known as “Billy Bob” in his band of brothers at Burlington Mobile Gang RP10 while employed for seven years at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. As a track maintenance technician, he was highly respected for his responsibility, work ethic, and was primarily concerned with safety and the well being of others.
He was raised on a farm in Caledonia, graduated from Caledonia High School in 1999, and continued to work within the local farming industry. His profession gave him the opportunity to explore the country and he expressed his love of southwestern history by collecting many artifacts. In addition to his historical interests, he enjoyed learning German and Spanish. His hobbies included singing karaoke, movies, video games, tractor pulls, and hunting with his family.
Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; maternal grandfather; and uncle, Randy.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Dale and Lola Werner; his sister, Sheri (Andy) Allen; his brothers, Todd (Heather) Werner, Daniel Holzwarth, and Brian (Anita) Werner; his maternal grandmother, Erma Diersen; four nephews; one niece; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brandon loved his entire family unconditionally.
Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Eitzen, Minn. Pastor Todd Krueger will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, 518 W. Main St., Caledonia, on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
