If you are one of the many people suffering from a lack of winter warmth and can’t wait for life to start jumping again then get off your couch and make plans to attend Camp Winnebago’s Winter Fun Festival.
On Saturday, Jan. 26 the camp will come alive with multiple activities for all ages in an effort to support the nonprofit organization’s goal of serving the recreational needs of adults and children with developmental disabilities.
The day begins at 10 a.m. with a chili bake-off. There will also be wagon rides, a silent auction, bake sale, snow tubing, face painting, pie eating contest and vendor displays.
After all your carousing sit down a spell and enjoy some chili at noon. The cost is $2.50 for children and $5 for adults.
“Jelly Wine” will provide entertainment from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with 1 p.m. being the designated time for the pie eating contest.
The cash prize raffle drawing will take place at 2 p.m., and at 3 p.m. the silent auction winners will be announced.
Camp Winnebago is located at 19708 Camp Winnebago Road. Visit www.campwinnebago.org for more information or directions, or call 507-724-2351.
