Foundation dinner and auction was nothing short of classy
To the Editor:
This past Saturday my wife and I had the pleasure of inviting six friends from Rochester to the 299 Foundation Annual Fun Night Auction and dinner. We received the following emails from our friends that I share with you with their permission.
“Tom mentioned this morning how classy everything about last night’s event was, from the excellent organization, wonderful food and even how the tables were set. The committee could serve as mentors for other communities. That a community that size can support this event annually is awesome.”
Betty wrote, “Thank you so much for the wonderful time last night. It was a ton of fun and the best part was being with you. Great conversation, lots of laughs and some treasures to enjoy. I have been reading through the three yearbooks I won at auction and the 1948 one was dedicated to Xxxx Xxxxx, one of my mentors in life. I’m also wishing I had bid on more stuff but was gun shy, maybe next time. What wonderful memories of a great evening.”
Kelly wrote, “Thanks to both of you for graciously arranging for a table and for the after dinner drinks. The evening was very impressive from the appetizers on. Dinner plates were heaped with food; we were stuffed. Equally impressive was the array of silent auction offerings and the money generous people like you offered at the live auction. This small town should be in the news.”
We can say it no better than our friends. Thanks!
