Motorists on Interstate 90 began experiencing lane closures on both sides of the Dresbach Bridge, beginning May 2, as crews construct crossovers for the I-90 bridge project.
This $187.5 million project is a cooperative effort between the Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of Transportation and will continue through 2016. The project includes constructing a new I-90 crossing over the Mississippi River and reconstructing the Highway 61/14 and I-90 interchange.
The new I-90 river crossing will meet current structural and geometric standards, and the new interchange will improve traffic safety, capacity and access on and between Highway 61/14 and I-90.
