Nicole DeWitt

DeWittNicole Jean DeWitt, 24, of La Crescent, Minn., formerly of Caledonia, Minn., died Sunday, June 30, 2013, surrounded by her family, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse.

She was born July 31, 1988, in La Crosse, to Scott and Deanna (Zibrowski) DeWitt. Nicole graduated from La Crescent High School in 2009 and worked at ABC Works in La Crescent. She loved to listen to music, go for walks, and relax in the recliner. She would giggle at loud noises and loved interacting with her “family” and friends at her residence, A.B.L.E. Lancer Home.

Nicole is survived by her parents, Scott and Deanna DeWitt; two sisters, Angela and Jennifer; her brother, Bryan; maternal grandparents, Richard and Maureen Zibrowski; and her paternal grandmother, Marilyn DeWitt, all of Caledonia; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Shane; her paternal grandfather, Roger DeWitt; and her great-grandparents, Turon and Beverly Snyder, Theodore and Dorothy DeWitt, and Edna Zibrowski.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 650 N. Kingston St., Caledonia. Rev. Tom Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. A visitation will be held at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 4 until 7 p.m. and also on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to A.B.L.E. Lancer Home in La Crescent. Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, Caledonia, Minn., is in charge of arrangements.
