Judy C. Kruckow
She was born August 1, 1942, in La Crosse to John and Vera (Isabell) Quinn. Judy was a 1960 graduate of Logan High School in La Crosse. She then attended St. Francis School of Nursing in La Crosse graduating in 1963. Following graduation, Judy worked as a Registered Nurse at Gundersen Lutheran until 1970.
On March 5, 1966, she married Harold Kruckow at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Caledonia and they shared over 47 years of marriage together. After raising her family, Judy returned to her nursing career as an RN at Caledonia Care and Rehab, retiring in August of 2012. Judy was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Caledonia where she was active with the Women’s Fellowship and Jesus Cares. She loved gardening, baking, playing scrabble, and her annual mother daughter shopping trips. Judy especially enjoyed the times spent with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Harold of Caledonia; seven children, Paul (Dana) Kruckow of Caledonia, Laura (Jeff) Willer of Onalaska, Diane (Todd) Stadtler of Winona, Minn., Sarah (Joe) Cuellar of Las Vegas, Nev., and Amy (Joel) Schroeder, David Kruckow, and Matt (Sarah) Kruckow, all of Caledonia; 15 grandchildren, Amanda, Alexander, Emily, Brock, Alesha, Mariah, Logan, Ashley, Brandon, Evan, Ryan, Isaac, Adam, Ethan, and Alyson; three sisters, Alana (Darrell) Gross of Alma, Wis., and Vivian (Martin) Domke and Lynn St. Jacque, both of La Crosse; and many nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Donald St. Jacque.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 650 N. Kingston St., Caledonia. Rev. Jon Wolff will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. A visitation will be Monday at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Caledonia, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church Furnace Fund or Jesus Cares, Caledonia. Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, Caledonia, is in charge of arrangements.
