The Three Rivers Conference has announced its boys soccer all-conference selections for the 2013 season. Caledonia finished with a 3-9 record and honored its three captains as all-conference selections. The three seniors, Alex Marschall, Josh Nord and Justin Inglett, all played every minute of every game for the Warriors. Marschall
finished the season with 2 goals, Nord had 5 goals and Inglett had 4 goals and an assist.
Representing PEM-DE, who finished the season in the quarterfinals of the Section 1 playoffs with a 3-2 shootout loss to Kasson-Mantorville, are Brandon Ching, Brady Rau, John Rowe and
Ching, a junior, completed his second varsity season with the Bulldogs playing primarily at forward with 13 goals and 9 assists. Rowe, a senior midfielder who controlled the middle for the Bulldogs, had 5 goals and 9 assists. Rau and Tradup, both seniors, were defensive stalwarts for the Dogs, with Rau as the sweeper and Tradup on the right side. The two averaged 75 minutes per game as the Bulldogs limited their opponents to 18 goals in 17 games this season, an average of just over 1 goal per game.
Receiving honorable mention awards for PEM-DE were Tyler Anderson and Christian Loyo. Anderson is a senior who exits the Bulldog program with 9 goals and 4 assists from this season and 17 goals for his career. Junior Christian Loyo played alongside Rowe in the middle as a full-time starter and completed his first varsity season with 4 goals and 1 assist.
Winona Cotter has three all-conference honorees: Caleb Forst, Alex Rickoff and CayJee Schaffner. Cotter completed its first season in the Three Rivers with a 4-8-2 record.
Forst, a senior forward, led the Ramblers in scoring with 13 goals and 3 assists. Rickoff played midfield as a senior this season, averaging 75 minutes per game with 1 goal. Schaffner, also a senior, anchored the Cotter defense playing 80 minutes a game and scoring 2 goals.
All-conference honorable mention for Winona Cotter went to Jacob Modjeski, a junior who averaged 75 minutes a game on defense, and freshman Patrick Michener, who played midfield and had 1 goal and 2 assists.
The coaches of the Three Rivers selected PEM-DE junior Brandon Ching as the Three Rivers Conference Player of the Year.
