The life of Nick Guillien is so much more than where he lived, the education that he had, the career that he loved, the hobbies he enjoyed and the family he left behind. The life of Nick Guillien was that of a father, a husband, a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, and a friend as a quiet and kind soul that did not ask for much, but gave greatly to all those around him.
The life of Nick Guillien began on Dec. 30, 1980, born to Greg and Lola Rostad Guillien in Caledonia, Minn. Nick married Lyndsi Dunkin Guillien and became the father of Dunkin, 4 years and Danick, 5 months. Abbie Guillien Fordahl (Zach), Phillip Guillien and Alex Guillien are proud to have him as their brother. Nick was an uncle to Nora and Mila Fordahl, a nephew to Vince Guillien and Sara Esch Guillien, and Mary Guillien Rhodes (Duane), and grandson to Marjorie Rostad and the late Norton Rostad, and Mabel Guillien and the late Lee Guillien.
Nick was a Journeyman Lineman at Pella Electric Cooperative for 10 years. Nick was a devoted family man and a quiet man of God. His heart to serve others shown through in so many aspects of his life, especially in his devotion to the Total Outdoorsman. This ministry encourages and strengthens an individual’s relationship in Christ by involving youth through hunting, fishing and stewardship of God’s creation.
