Documents connected to Czech immigration wanted

To the Editor:

The Czech Heritage Partnership, via its Family History and Documents Center in Protivin, Iowa, is seeking to obtain copies of letters, cards, diaries, scrapbooks and similar related communication associated with the immigration of individuals and families from Bohemia and Moravia in the 1850 to 1900 timeframe. If you are in possession of such documents, the CHP would appreciate receiving a copy of those items, now or in the future, in order to ensure the historic record they contain is preserved for future generations.

This effort is undertaken in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The Czech Heritage Partnership is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Iowa Corporation.  Please send copies of your documents to the CHP Family History and Documents Center, P O Box 186, 131 South Main Street, Protivin, Iowa  52163. If you wish to designate the CHP as recipient of these documents in the future, or if you have any questions about the project, please call Eileen at 563-569-8700.
