American Norwegians wanted

Chicago’s O’Connor Casting Company is holding an open casting call on Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Mall of America for all Norwegian-Americans interested in applying for Season 5 of Norway’s #1 Emmy award winning reality TV show “Alt for Norge” (aka “The Great Norway Adventure”).

“We met over one-third of season four’s callback finalists last year at our Minnesota open call. They flew to Chicago, met the producers and some were cast on the show. That’s pretty phenomenal and says a lot about the great people in that part of the country,” Joan O’Connor, casting producer, said. “Season four contestant, Liv Bly, who attended last year’s open call, pretty much sums it up: ‘If you are a Norwegian-American you would be CRAZY to pass up this opportunity.’”

The series follows 12 Norwegian-Americans who fly to Norway and dive into the culture by competing in a series of fun, adventurous and awe-inspiring challenges. The winner receives a cash prize of $50,000 and meets Norwegian relatives they don’t even know exist.

The open call is on Dec. 21 from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Executive Center at the Mall of America, which is located on level four, east.

You can get on the VIP list by emailing castingnorway@gmail.com. For all information regarding the open call and to apply online go to http://oconnorcasting.tv/index.php/norway/

Anyone can apply as long as they are an American with Norwegian ancestry (even a little bit counts) who are age 18-plus and have never traveled to Norway.
