Caledonia Youth Soccer needs your help

To the Editor:

With this cold weather it is difficult to think about sitting outside watching your son or daughter play soccer, but the Caledonia Youth Soccer Association is in the planning stages for the spring soccer season.

The board is in a transition year for volunteer members, and we could really use more parents to help us alleviate the work load.  We are in need of board members: a treasurer, referee coordinator, field coordinator, field prep crew and coaching coordinator. Our program’s success relies on the efforts of parent volunteers. We need more parents to become involved, so we can continue to provide and improve spring soccer for the youth of Caledonia and the surrounding areas.

We are also searching for referees. Referees are paid for the games they officiate.

As the saying goes, many hands make light work. If you or your children love soccer, consider joining the board to facilitate another fun and successful season this spring.  I personally cannot wait for spring to watch my boys play soccer.  Please give me a call if you are able to help or would like to come to a meeting to see what Caledonia Youth Soccer is all about.

Please watch for sign-up info the beginning of January.
