Wildlife in Winter
Saturday, March 8, 1 p.m.
This winter has been especially long and cold. In Minnesota, you are never sure what each winter will hold. When winter’s chill gets to us, most of us are able to go into a nice, warm home and snuggle up in a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate. So, what animals at Beaver Creek Valley State Park are active in the winter and which ones have gone south or are sleeping?
We will meet at the picnic shelter and learn about a few adaptations our local animals use as well as trying out a few of them ourselves. There will be numerous activities for all ages, so bring out the entire family! The program is free and will be about an hour in length. If you have any questions, call Mike at 507-643-6849 ext. 6 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. See you there!
