Aly Folz, Ryan Pitts, West Spier and the boys 4×100 relay team of Sam Schulte, Ben McCabe, Devan Heaney and Ryan Pitts will all compete in the 2014 MSHSL state track meet June 6-7 at Hamline University.
Folz, Pitts and Spier will all return after making the trip last season while the relay team is making their first trip to state after qualifying third at the 1A championship at Paul Giel Field in Winona last week.
Folz placed second in the girls shot put at Winona with a toss of 37 feet 5 3/4 inches to advance to state for the third time along with Maddie Lindhart of Zumbrota-Mazeppa.
Pitts will run in the 100 meter dash for the second year in a row after qualifying second with a time of 11.18 seconds while Bethlehem Academy senior Isaiah Brogden won the event at 11.13 seconds.
Spier won the high jump at 6-1 while the 4×100 relay team posted the third fastest time out of 11 teams in the event with a time of 44.45 seconds.
Folz finished 14th a year ago, Pitts placed fifth a year ago at the state meet and Spier also placed fifth as a junior.
The girls shot put is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. June 7 while the 4×100 team and Pitts will run Friday afternoon after 3:30 p.m.
Spier is scheduled to compete in the high jump Saturday afternoon sometime after 3:30 p.m.
