There’s something in store for everyone this summer at the Caledonia Library.

This Sunday, June 29 at Ma Cal Grove Country Club, Caledonia native Joe Bissen will have a book signing for his book “Fore! Gone” Minnesota’s Lost Golf Courses 1897-1999.”

The event is sponsored by the Caledonia Public Library and Ma Cal Grove Country Club.

The “Zinghoppers Live” will be held on Monday, July 14, at 2 p.m. in the City Auditorium Basement.

“Fizz, Boom Read!” was donated by the Caledonia Friends of the Library.

On Saturday, August 9, Mark Moran, Caledonia native who has appeared on “Antiques Roadshow” will be in town to appraise antiques for people.

“We held that here last year and it was a big success,” said libarian Marla Burns.

Due to the overwhelming support in 2013, you are encouraged to call ahead if you’d like to have your antique appraised.

The library also hosts MNSure sessions. The first session will be held on July 9 and again on July 23. They are on Wednesdays and will take place from 12 to 5:30 p.m.

Anyone with insurance questions or who need help filling out forms for MNSure are encouraged to attend.

There is also the Summer Reading Program. Stop into the library to find out dates and times.

“We offer hundreds of books, a selection of magazines and videos,” said Burns. “We have a microfilm section to look up that information from years gone by. We are also connected with SELCO a regional resource center. There are over 17,000,000 items that can be checked out. The resources are there for that hard to find information that is needed for so many varieties of needs.  Marla or Eileen would be happy to help you.”

“A visit to the Caledonia Public Library, is truly a wonderful visit,” continued Burns. “We hope to see you at the library and if you have any questions, give Marla or Eileen a call at 507-725-2671.”
