Caledonia 14, La Crosse 2
The Warriors hit the ball well and runs came in bunches. Noah Jennings started the scoring off with a big hit in the first inning and ended up going 1-2 with a walk, 1 RBI and 3 runs scored. Matt Gavin smashed a 3-run homerun in the fourth inning to cap off his 4 RBI night. Other leading hitters for the Warriors were Auston Webber, Levi Schmidt and Chandler Bergrud.
Matt Gavin started on the mound for the Warriors pitching three innings with six strikeouts and giving up one hit. Noah Jennings pitched the last two innings and struck out two batters.
Tuesday June 24
Warriors 6, West Salem 2
The Warriors jumped out to a 2-0 lead after big hits from Donnie Lakey and Carter Bratland. Lakey added an RBI triple in the third inning to finish 2 for 2 on the night. Carter Bratland was 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs. Other leading hitters for the Warriors were Austin Heaney who went 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs and Auston Webber who was 1 for 1 with a run scored.
The Warriors were unhittable on the mound. Carter Bratland and Levi Schmidt combined for a no-hitter. Bratland pitched four innings with 11 strikeouts and Schmidt closed out the game with two innings pitched and three strikeouts. West Salem scored two unearned runs in the last inning.
Thursday June 26
Warriors 5, Brice Prairie 2
The Warriors scored a quick two runs in the first inning thanks to a Noah Jennings two-run double. Brice Prairie scored one run in the bottom half of the first and one run in the third inning to tie the game. The game stayed 2-2 through six innings causing the game to go into extra innings. The Warriors came up to the plate in the seventh inning and did some damage. Donnie Lakey was hit by a pitch followed by a Chandler Bergrud single. Noah Jennings brought in two runs with his third hit of the night. Jennings scored the final run of the night on a single by Levi Schmidt. Noah Jennings led the Warriors with three hits followed by Chandler Bergrud with two hits and Levi Schmidt and Matt Gavin each had one hit.
Chandler Bergrud and Donnie Lakey were outstanding on the mound giving up only one hit in seven innings. Bergrud pitched the first four innings recording six strikeouts. Donnie Lakey finished the game with three innings pitched and eight strikeouts.
