The Houston County Economic Development Authority is presenting a free training on cybersecurity on Tuesday, March 14 at 11:30 a.m. at Corky’s in La Crescent. Professionals from CCS Technologies will walk participants through the top five strategies businesses and nonprofits can use to protect themselves online. Free lunch will be served to all attendees thanks to sponsorship by Home Federal Bank of La Crescent.

The first event, held in Spring Grove in late February, drew over 50 participants to learn about using Facebook for marketing. The last event in the series, entitled “Top Ten Reasons Small Businesses Succeed,” will be held on Tuesday, April 18 in Caledonia. Registration is open for that event as well.
