Alice Lorraine Fitzpatrick

obit_fitzpatrickAlice Lorraine Fitzpatrick, 95, Waldorf, formerly of Brownsville, died Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Janesville Nursing Home.

Alice was born June 29, 1921 in Caledonia, Minn. to Florence (Ryder) and Andrew Olson. She was united in marriage to Roy Fitzpatrick on June 20, 1938 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Brownsville. Alice and Roy farmed in the Brownsville area until their retirement in 1994. After retiring they moved to Waldorf. She enjoyed embroidery, reading, animals, especially birds, and writing family history.

She is survived by daughter, Kathy Hodgkins of Waldorf; son, Richard (Janet) Fitzpatrick of Rochester; brother, Dr. Tony (Mary) Lund of Rochester; grandchildren, Troy (Donna) Hodgkins, Trent (Michelle) Hodgkins, and Roxi (Scott) Tryba; great grandchildren, Melissa (Josh) Kopachek, Lauren Hodgkins, Allie Hodgkins, Lexi Hodgkins, Kennedy Hodgkins, Mackenzie Tryba, Katy Hodgkins, Logan Tryba, and David Hodgkins; great-great grandchildren, Blaire and Wyllow Kopachek; and special great nephew Bill (Ann) Fitzpatrick and his children Shannon, and Jenna.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Roy in 2004, son in-law Dave in 2002, sister, Jean Brunner and parents.

Funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Waldorf. Visitation was one hour prior to the services at the church.  Interment was at the Waldorf Community Cemetery in Waldorf.  Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato handled the arrangements.
