The Eagles from Rochester struck in the bottom of the first, sending their entire lineup to the plate in a nine-run frenzy. Lourdes would then add three more insurance runs in the second, totaling 14 hits on the day.

Kelsey Hermanson broke the ice for the Warriors in the second with a one-out single, but would get no farther down the base path. In the fourth, Lydia Melde singled, as did Abby Bauer. The Warriors had runners on second and third with two outs, but couldn’t capitalize. Then a caught fly ball ended the threat for Rochester.

C/SG returned to the dome on Saturday, April 1 for scrimmages.

“We scrimmaged Wabasha-Kellogg, NRHEG and Heron Lake Okabena,” Warrior coach Michelle Anderson reported.

“No scores kept and the format was just timed on offense and defense. We got to see a number of girls in various positions and that will help us going forward.”

The Warriors are set to host Winona Cotter on Tuesday, April 4, weather permitting.
