She was born April 1, 1939, to Edwin and Minerva (Ostern) Omodt. Delores was confirmed on June 21, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, Minn. She graduated from Spring Grove High School in 1957. Delores married David Russert on October 14, 1961. She was a homemaker who loved baking, sewing, embroidery, and playing cards.
Delores is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, David; daughter, Dawn (Doug) Lecy of Echo, Minn.; son, Bryan of Brownsville, Minn.; five grandchildren, Megan (Garrett) Fratzke of Oakland, Calif., Molly (Seth) Sparks of Belview, Minn., Dillon Lecy of Echo, Minn., Hannah Russert of Duluth, Minn., and Henry Russert of Minneapolis, Minn.; sister, Evelyn (Wallace) Kramer of Burlington, Wash.; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Virgil) Johnson and Dianne (Bruce) Muenkel, both of Caledonia; and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws; an infant daughter; and sister, Marian.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 650 North Kingston Street, Caledonia. Rev. Jon Wolff will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday, all at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Caledonia.
